How do I add my first horse?
Open Horses and tap Add horse. Enter the stable name first, then add optional identity, care contact, insurance, and emergency details. No account or sign-in is required.
What can I record?
ManeLedger supports veterinary visits, vaccinations, medications, farrier care, dental care, body measurements, injuries or observations, documents, and general notes. Each entry can include a provider, details, notes, cost, and follow-up date.
How do care plans work?
Open a horse, choose Plans, and add a one-time or repeating plan. Marking a plan complete adds a dated care record. A repeating plan then advances to its next future due date.
How do I enable or disable reminders?
Enable Notify me when creating or editing a care plan. ManeLedger asks for notification permission only when saving a plan with reminders enabled. You can change access later in iPhone or iPad Settings under Notifications and ManeLedger.
What does the free version include?
Free includes one horse, up to 25 care records, up to three active care plans, all standard record types, local reminders, and access to the records you created.
What does ManeLedger Pro include?
Pro adds unlimited horses, care records, and active plans, plus photo and document attachments, body measurement trends, PDF and CSV exports, and complete versioned JSON backup and restore.
How much does ManeLedger Pro cost?
The planned US list price is $5.99 per month or $39.99 per year. There is no free trial or introductory offer. App Store prices may vary by country, taxes, and currency.
How do I restore or manage a subscription?
Open Settings in ManeLedger and choose Restore purchases. Active subscribers can choose Manage subscription. You can also manage or cancel in iPhone or iPad Settings under your Apple Account and Subscriptions.
How do I export a horse's records?
Open the horse profile, tap the menu in the top-right corner, then choose Export PDF or Export CSV. PDF is designed for a readable handoff; CSV is designed for structured history.
How do I make or restore a backup?
ManeLedger Pro users can open Settings, then Data and export. Export complete backup creates a versioned JSON file. Restore validates the selected backup and asks for confirmation before replacing current local data.
Where is my data stored?
ManeLedger stores its records on the iPhone or iPad. There is no ManeLedger account, cloud sync, developer app server, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK. Files leave the app only when you explicitly share or export them.
How do I delete all data?
Open Settings, choose Delete all local data, read the warning, and confirm Delete everything. This removes all profiles, records, attachments, and plans from the device. Exported files must be deleted from their saved destination separately.
Does ManeLedger provide veterinary advice?
No. ManeLedger records information entered by the user. It does not diagnose, prescribe, calculate medication doses, or verify treatment instructions. Contact a qualified equine professional for care decisions.
