Frequently asked questions
What does PexPlan calculate?
PexPlan uses the heated area, pipe spacing, manifold connection distance, maximum loop length, project-specific heat-output target, and design temperature difference you enter to estimate pipe allowance, circuit count, average circuit length, design load, and target flow.
Does PexPlan replace a heat-loss calculation or engineered design?
No. PexPlan does not infer building heat loss, select a construction assembly, certify an installation, or choose a pressure-test pass criterion. Verify every input and result against the selected system, manufacturer instructions, qualified design, and local requirements.
What are the free limits?
The free edition supports one working project with up to three zones. Circuit planning, balancing, and pressure-test records are included. The bundled sample project also demonstrates the professional report and backup workflow.
What does PexPlan Pro include?
Pro unlocks unlimited projects and zones, PDF commissioning reports, CSV circuit schedules, portable project backups, and future professional tools.
Is there a trial or introductory price?
No. PexPlan displays the regular monthly and annual Google Play prices before purchase, with no free trial or introductory offer.
How do I restore or cancel Pro?
Use Restore purchases in PexPlan Settings. To manage or cancel renewal, open Google Play, choose Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, and select PexPlan. Access continues according to the subscription status shown by Google Play.
How do I create a handover report?
Open a Pro project, choose Reports and backup, then select PDF commissioning report. Android asks where to save the file. The report includes project details, the circuit schedule, balancing status, and pressure-test records.
How do I move a project to another device?
Choose PexPlan backup under Reports and backup and save the file somewhere you trust. On the destination device, open Settings and choose Restore PexPlan backup. The restored project is created as an independent copy.
Can I use imperial units?
Yes. Choose Metric or Imperial when creating or editing a project. PexPlan stores a consistent internal model and presents planning, field readings, CSV schedules, and PDF reports in the project's selected units.
Where is my project data stored?
Project records remain in PexPlan's private storage on your Android device unless you explicitly export a report, schedule, or backup through Android's system file picker.
