Frequently asked questions
What does LayerLoad plan?
LayerLoad turns a mixed manifest of carton quantities, dimensions, weights, orientation rules, fragility, stackability, top-load limits, and priority into a deterministic candidate pallet arrangement.
Does LayerLoad certify that a pallet is safe?
No. LayerLoad is a planning aid, not structural engineering or transport-safety certification. Verify pallet condition, packaging strength, restraints, equipment limits, carrier requirements, and site rules before use.
Why was a carton not placed?
Open Items after optimization. LayerLoad reports an explicit reason such as pallet footprint, height, weight, support, stacking constraint, or the bounded search limit. Adjust the relevant input and optimize again.
What are the free limits?
Free includes one active project with up to three carton types and 25 total cartons. All handling constraints, the mixed-load solver, validation, 3D inspection, and build sequence are included. The complete sample project also supports PDF and CSV export.
What does LayerLoad Pro include?
Pro unlocks unlimited projects and manifests, the reusable carton catalog, PDF load sheets and placement CSV for your own projects, and portable JSON backups. Pro is available monthly, annually, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase.
Is there a trial or introductory price?
No. LayerLoad displays the regular localized App Store price before purchase. No free trial or introductory offer is included.
How do I restore or cancel Pro?
Use Restore purchases on the LayerLoad Pro screen. To manage or cancel an auto-renewing subscription, open Apple device Settings, choose your Apple Account, then Subscriptions, and select LayerLoad.
How do I scan a carton barcode?
Open a carton, tap the barcode icon beside SKU, and allow camera access. Align a supported UPC, EAN, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, or QR label. If scanning is unavailable, type the SKU manually.
Can I use inches and pounds?
Yes. Choose Metric or US customary under Display units in Settings. LayerLoad keeps a consistent internal model and converts editor values, plans, CSV review, and PDF output.
Where is my project data stored?
Projects remain in LayerLoad's private storage on your device unless you explicitly export a PDF, CSV, or JSON backup through Apple's system interface.
